Leidenfrost Vineyards is a small, family owned Farm-winery found in the heart of the Finger Lakes in Hector, New York. Located on the southeastern shore of Seneca Lake Leidenfrost Vineyards is an ideal microclimate to grow premium Vinifera, Labrusca and hybrid wine grapes. From vineyard to tasting room, we focus on producing small batch, hand-crafted wines made from the best estate grown grapes in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.




Founded in 1990, Leidenfrost Vineyards was one of the first Finger Lakes wineries to feature a broad spectrum of dry red wines, including Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Baco Noir. We also produce outstanding Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Gruner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, Cayuga White, Catawba, Niagara and other flavorful white varieties. Our tasting room staff is fun, knowledgeable and dedicated to providing a unique and memorable experience of our wines. Beat the summer heat with our Frozen Niagara Lemonade! Made from scratch with our Niagara wine, this crisp, slightly sweet and boozy concoction has quickly become a favorite of customers and staff alike! Come and enjoy one on our beautiful deck overlooking Seneca Lake!

Summer is upon us here at Leidenfrost Vineyards but don’t worry, we have plenty of ways to help you beat the heat! Our tasting room is air-conditioned to perfection and we are now offering delicious Frozen Niagara Lemonade slushies plus Mimosas and crisp, chilled white wine to help you stay cool and enjoy summer in the Finger Lakes.


In the Vineyard


The 2018 crop looks beautiful and bountiful! This spring, our hardworking crew planted our very first block of Syrah, much to the excitement of our winemakers and staff! We look forward to nurturing these baby vines and we can’t wait to add this spicy and complex wine to our portfolio in the coming years!

The staff are working hard on the wines from the 2017 vintage and we are preparing to release some fantastic new dry whites including our first ever Dry Gewürztraminer and both an oak-aged and a stainless steel fermented Chardonnay! We are also excited to release a sparkling pink Catawba wine playfully dubbed “Pink Flamingo” which is sure to be a favorite for staff and customers alike!
